I went to a local poultry show this morning. And no, I wasn’t tempted into buying more chooks! There were some tatty rescue ISAs but I just couldn’t go there. There was a trio of Cochins and a trio of Pekins that I briefly thought about, but I deliberately didn’t set up my quarantine area so I wouldn’t be tempted. I’m not in the right headspace for new girls at the moment.

But I took lots of photos. There was even a Vorwerks breeding trio!

So I offered mine a worm and they were mildly interested. Creamsicle managed to eat half. These chicks don't like many things. The only treats I've seen them get excited over is wet warm starter feed and maple blossoms.

I guess that’s what it is... more like thin shells... I think the shells are okay.. just thin. Just wondering about it as I’ve never seen it before. Was wondering if it was because I feed an “All flock” which has less calcium than layer feed...

With Trump gone could you go back to layer?
