It is nice. They are in FL and I'm in PA but it gives us something to chat about. His youngest boy wanted them. He got a taste of chickens one time when he was here. I had Daisy, the greatest hen ever, Patsy, and Lilly at the time. Patsy was not one that like to be pet but she let my nephew pet her while eating meal worms from his hand. It was so sweet and he was hooked.

My brother relented when they proposed hatching and raising as a part of their home schooling. My sister in law loves them.

That Patsy was a little Bobby Dazzler. I can see how they were converted to the Chicken Side of the Force.

Weirder still, have you ever been complimented on your ovaries? 😂 I had that during ultrasounds, strange to hear and how do you respond to that? 🤷🏻‍♀️
Ahhh...thank you...?
Truly odd but I can excuse medical people. They see a lot of ovaries and probably are a good judge of what a good set looks like. 🤷‍♂️

What happened! How! O that is so sad. I am so sorry for your loss. How tragic. :hugs :hugs :hugs
We watched just as it happened too. We managed to rescue their bodies. They didn't look hurt, but they must have died of a snapped neck or shock. When we got to them Creamsicle was still there, but fading. He died in my arms. Freedom will be more limited now.

I don't know...I've had some doozies said by medical folks. :gigbut I just laugh it off.
We're all just ppl and not always great at tact, nor common sense, nor reading the audience...

Not that I ever say anything weird. Nope, not me

Meatbird is in a bad mood.

I don't know what is going on with her! Yesterday she and the dog did their stare down contest through the fence (per normal).
Next thing I know, the dog is running away with her tail between her legs! Seems like Ms Meatbird gave a hard peck to the pup's nose. She looked quite proud of herself too...standing tall and watching the dog scoot away while holding her ground on the opposite side of the fence.

Then this morning, Meatbird and Picsia went above and beyond the normal chest bumping routine. She full on flew at Piscia with her feet out in attack mode. Piscia then returned in kind and then ran away from MB.

I thought it was over, but noooo! MB was holding a grudge and attacked (no one is hurt...looks scarier than it is) my Piscia two more times.

Piscia (who is beautiful and sweet, but not the brightest bulb) finally got the hint and stayed away for more than 3 seconds.

MB then excused herself from the others to visit the feeding station alone and yelled at everyone for being in her eyesight and for simply existing. :th

What is up with my normally go-with-the-flow Meatbird?
Do chickens get super moody before laying first eggs?
I had the same thing happen with Hattie and Aurora. I don't know who started it but Hattie ended it by hurting Aurora.

I was shocked but these things will happenin a tribe. Aurora has been well behaved, for her, since then.

Here is how viscous the fight was.

She was pretty for a mean chicken. Just like someone else.
