Bottom line, “what would BLU do” if he could drive a car, or fly a plane?Using a “spoiler” terrifies me. A sound, strong, airplane, and even my car, doesn’t scare me at all. Proof of this, is the fact that I’m here posting to you, my friends.

I looked into rubber bowls online and saw lots of reviews mentioning some had a bad smell due to the fresh rubber (and who knows what else, questionable origins). So I didn't want to buy anything sight unseen or unsmelled. Could that be it?Something has spooked the Princesses - they seem suddenly afraid of the new rubber feed bowl (that is identical to the old one that they are still using happily for water).
I had to decant their ice-kefir treat to a flat take-out food container before they would dare to approach.
Silly chickens!
Hmm this video is also "unavailable". What setting do I need to see it?Someone Fills in for BY Bob
I was out of town on Monday and needed someone to fill in for me and remove Phyllis from the nest. I thought right away of @CrazyChookChookLady but she is dealing with a new job and I knew it would be a long trip for her. I also knew she would do it any way and I knew I could not impose.
What other choices did I have?
We have been to encourage one other couple of our circle of friends to get chickens and so we thought of them. Now, just like here, the lady of the house wanted the chickens and it seems the husband had become responsible for them. He blisters to me everytime we see them about all the work we created for him. "She doesn't even collect eggs anymore!" I've always thought that his a soft side of him towards them.
Well as luck would have it, I was checking in on Phyllis as JD arrived to take her off the nest. Listen to the old softie talk to everyone!
Four year -old Buckeyes here. How many chickens do you guys have
I got fake brown I eggs from My Pet Chicken, they have weight to them, but are lighter than real ones that size. Those of you with fake eggs, do they have real weight to them? We got one last week and while it looks very real it weighs almost nothing.
Happy bathers:

Same here, marked them with an X on the pointy end with a laundry pen!Lovely pictures!
I don't use my fake eggs much - I got them from TSC I think and they are quite heavy. I can easily be fooled into thinking they are a real egg so I have marked each one with an 'x' so I don't try and crack one for breakfast.
I don’t think it is that. I bought two bowls at the same time. They smell of rubber for a few days and it wears off.I looked into rubber bowls online and saw lots of reviews mentioning some had a bad smell due to the fresh rubber (and who knows what else, questionable origins). So I didn't want to buy anything sight unseen or unsmelled. Could that be it?
Love Hattie.A Celebration of Hattie (The Pullet Years)
The following photos track Hattie through the remainder of her days as a pullet. By Thanksgiving she was full grown even if she was not yet laying. It is impossible to share Hattie's life without Jabberwocky. They were inseparable.
