Ok, did a head count, in total have 34. If I break it down have 7 adults, 6 juveniles, and 21 chicks 6 weeks and under. If I place the ones available and keep 2 of the silkies like I hope to I will be at 15. If I have to end up placing all the silkies my total will be down to 13. It's really not that bad of a number if you do not count the babies.

I don’t think it is that. I bought two bowls at the same time. They smell of rubber for a few days and it wears off.
Bowl #1 is happily used for water. But the mere sight of bowl #2 sends them flying.
Tomorrow I might just swap them around and see what happens!
That's a good idea!

Who can sleep! That neighbor dog barking so early. I went out to check on the coop. The 10 are fine. No predators, but I woke up the little ones in the chicken room (I cannot get integrated, and I have tried everything) sorry, I’m just venting. Big day for me today. (I still can function without sleep, I have done it many times before) … do I have to pay a tax for this rant? I hope not, because I don’t feel like being taxed today! I just don’t want to be in a bad mood, Michelle’s Ruby, took me on an emotional roller coaster ride yesterday. (Yes, with true friends, one problem can and will be noticed by the others) Ruby, get well! Make your mama stop stressing about you so much! And you Michelle look to the sky. My flight plan is just west of your geographic location. Driving, I’m only south of Fresno 2 hours traveling on wheels from you. Scary huh? (Kidding) let me know how Ruby is feeling (not kidding) thanx … Alexander.
Thanks, Alex! Fun that you could be flying almost overhead!

Miss Ruby was better today yesterday, feels to have no swelling in her abdomen, and roosted normally. I also saw her eat. Best I can hope for. YAY! Let’s hope it holds.

Something has spooked the Princesses - they seem suddenly afraid of the new rubber feed bowl (that is identical to the old one that they are still using happily for water).
I had to decant their ice-kefir treat to a flat take-out food container before they would dare to approach.
Silly chickens!
So funny. I think I’ve shared this before, but I had a tiny New Hampshire Red who wss afraid of paper plates. 🤣🤣🤣
