They do sometimes. My Patsy had a full set. I'm not certain if it is hormone related or lack of rooster related but Patsy was fully armed. There are others in our group as well with armed hens.

How many lemons approximately would you use? I don't use the peel due to chemicals used.

When I cook with lemons I buy organic and wash them first. This is the recipe - it is unbelievably rich. I made it as my contribution to a friend's Easter feast.

Mary's spurs are growing. Her left spur is slightly longer than her right. They're not sharp and she's such a docile hen I don't think of her as armed.
