Not going to lie, nope, avoided reading Mark Twain. In 6th grade my english teacher had us read and do 1 book report over a classic each month. I ended up doing the entire "Little Women" series, Moby Dick and some other's that I can not remember. I started reading Huckleberry Finn and got a few chapters in and did not care for it and switched books. The following year started my obsession with Stephen King, Michael Creighton Anne Rice and such. Only had to do 1 book report in 7th grade and it was Stephen Kings "The Stand"

I know I owe tax but I really am too feeble to go out right now. So I am submitting this estimated payment on account if Maggie from a couple of days ago.
Hopefully will be stronger tomorrow.
One thing is clear - there is no way I am leaving the house until a bit of melting happens. Really dumb of me to leave the car out.

Thanks for the heads up about Sunday. Hopefully tomorrow will melt enough and I will feel well enough to clear the garage and get the car inside.

Count to 5

I have been watching the ladies inside the main coop today as they refuse to go outside in the wind and cold (who could blame them).

The camera is frequently blocked, usually by Hattie, and so I find myself identifying everyone by counting. Just now I was counting and I kept getting 5. I could not figure out who was missing. I would run through them in my head, still 5 but 5 means someone is missing.

It took quite a while for me to realize.....

For a month after I lost Elizabeth I would get confused when asked how many chickens I had.
Each one leaves a big hole.

Bob, I was very fortunate yesterday. I took a quick trip to San Diego to see my grieving sister (who just lost Harry, her cat) It was good to see her again. Sadly under such sad circumstances, I thought I would be there for her. RIP Harry, you were a good cat. (13 years old) today it’s all socked in with fog here. But I drove to see Chaco today.
