Thanks RC. I thought he was a special person and I just think it’s sad that no-one seems to miss and remember him, apart from his last remaining family member.

My only chicken photo of the day…

On the right we have Mr. Jerk Chicken, who had just done a hackles dance with the Sausage Boy Dean’s Son in the Centre (not a fan of his behaviour with the ladies, so unless something changes drastically he’s on the freezer camp list…) why aren’t they fighting? On the Left we have Dean… he literally ran in and broke up the altercation before it had a chance to move past the hackles up and staring each other down phase. So I don’t have to do ALL the work around here!

I have one very dominant hen in the tribe. She’s bucking to be the Alpha I think. She pushes the rest of the tribe around, and even raises her feathers up against me, trying to peck and bite (If she sees me doing something that she doesn’t like) . I treat her no different than any of the others, but she is an “in your face” kinda hen.
Ps. Everyone laid their egg today. 9 hens, 9 eggs! Awesome.

Bedtime photos… I woke poor Sammy up with my headlight counting all the fluffies. Everyone accounted for! Directly under Snow (the big white one looking grumpy in the back) was where I had to crawl for last night’s eggs!

And the best we are going to get of Mugshots for today, considering the time. Dean. Here you can clearly see his black tip from the frostbite. The tip right behind the black one has already come off.
