What I did to hang up my cabbage was to use a hoof knife and make a hole then string it up using hay string. I never thought about using wire hooks although that is a smart idea as well. Here is one of the video's I uploaded to youtube for you.I still haven't found a way to hang the cabbage head and apple

When I first tried this, I had ISA Browns with trimmed beaks and they couldn’t rip bits off. I switched to an iceberg lettuce and it was a hit!Hmm, I tried cabbage this fall and nobody even looked at it. I even partially pulled off some leaves in an enticing way - nothing! It eventually froze solid and I threw it in the compost!![]()
