We won’t even go into the last time my Dad and I went out to a pub for lunch back in 2019 (last time I visited the mainland… lol!). Sit down we bot order a beer waitress asks if we’ve worked together or something, as I seem really familiar. Dad says “well of course, she’s my daughter, she looks like me, that’s probably it”. Well, I don’t usually go to this particular pub but… do you shop where I used to work? Nope. Work at the local grocery stores? Nope. Other restaurants or pubs? She gives a list of pubs she’s worked at… Now bear in mind, I’ve been out of town for almost a full year and a half at this point, sure enough she used to work at the Terminal Pub a whole three blocks from our house. Yep, probably there I would come in with the skinny tech guy for Lululemon and a shorter balding guy. Yes, Tim and Andrew… I may have been a fairly regular customer there.tell them he's your dad
Roommate practically lived there, and DH was more of a regular than me, but apparently I was still there often enough to be very familiar lover a year later. Of course the pub I frequented most was the one right outside my work. When you get off at 11pm, last call is 12, and the last bus is 12:45 with an hour commute home, it makes going anywhere else impossible.
