2nd chick is out, another Maran. I can not tell if it has a comb or not as it is still wearing it's shell like a hat.

She'll be a lot safer down there. Do you think she could try the roost once she's used to the new coop? The girls are in!

I was actually a bit worried about Tegan trying to jump down off a roost and breaking a leg, so I got a breeze block, padded it with a towel and covered it with the tarp for her to roost on. I put her on there when it was getting too dark to see, so she’s stayed put.
Only if she uses the duck walk and I’m not sure if she would. It will be interesting to see if anyone uses it, or they just jump up and down. She'll be a lot safer down there. Do you think she could try the roost once she's used to the new coop?

I've taken a screen capture for him so he can see it when he gets back.

I love when I put an egg in front of them and the hen rolls it under herself with her beak, and shoves it under her, rolling it around and settling it under her fluffy FeathersIt is amazing they don't break more than they do.
Hahaha“When 66 years old you be, you are expected to slow up a little!”
6.5 years = 66 chicken years
