The girls are in!

I was actually a bit worried about Tegan trying to jump down off a roost and breaking a leg, so I got a breeze block, padded it with a towel and covered it with the tarp for her to roost on. I put her on there when it was getting too dark to see, so she’s stayed put.

She'll be a lot safer down there. Do you think she could try the roost once she's used to the new coop?

Only if she uses the duck walk and I’m not sure if she would. It will be interesting to see if anyone uses it, or they just jump up and down.

2nd chick is out, another Maran. I can not tell if it has a comb or not as it is still wearing it's shell like a hat.
Babies babies babies 🤗🤗

Can't wait for pictures!

And Kris' mama also hatching eggs - I am living vicariously through you with all of your babies 🤗🤗💖💖💖

It is amazing they don't break more than they do.
I love when I put an egg in front of them and the hen rolls it under herself with her beak, and shoves it under her, rolling it around and settling it under her fluffy Feathers 😊
