To clarify, a bird dog would find it and point it. They don't kill birds, they just find them.Anyone near you own a bird dog? They could find her quick.

Depends upon the breed. Springers will flush the birds. We had a couple growing up that would catch live birds (usually ducks/geese diving rather than taking flight from the ponds) and bring them to you unharmed. To clarify, a bird dog would find it and point it. I can think of worse places to be stuck in. I’m always in the coop with the birds.Went out to close the coop. Gully washer rain storm came in while out there...stuck inside with all the birds....rain mostly ended. Came back inside to grab phone and get this:View attachment 3134172Full arc. Awesome evening!
That's a little scary.Me and Bunny are going to have to have a serious discussion. This is the 3rd night in a row I've had to remove her from this spot. If Russ did not lay down at night I would let them stay.

We raised Brits, Pointers and Setters. I really miss watching a good brace of dogs work.Depends upon the breed. Springers will flush the birds. That looks wonderful. You are very fortunate. Enjoy it while it lasts.I had the head lamp out with me tonight when I was putting everyone up. Here is just part of our nightly routine. I wonder why this group is some of the friendliest I've raised. I also know full well in the future I may regret turning them into always in your face chickens.
Thanks!Good job on that coop Bob!
“Ps. I’m waiting for silly daddy. He’s outside with a jar collecting June beetles for me and my sisters!”“All I have to do, is wait until I’m the last bird, then wait on the porch steps for my daddy to take me inside (it’s nice in the human coop)!” View attachment 3134198
