I’ve had to come home early. Snowy was in the front bit with the Faverolles! :barnie Lottie was hunkered down by the mirror. When I offered her some chopped-up grapes, she seemed quite enthusiastic, but didn’t eat a whole heap (which I suppose would be natural). I popped Snowy back in with Lottie and left them to it. I’ll have to see what sort of heat source I can get here. I’ll get some more baby bird food into her tonight so if she’s getting extra nutrients twice a day, hopefully that helps.
Sounds like you are doing well with her. Keep at it. :thumbsup

she is to scared of me for me to do this but i had tried

no i haven't seen her since 5 pm so hopefully i will find her tomorrow
It's too bad you don't see where she is roosting. My friend had to wait till night to catch some turkeys - after spending the day trying to catch them... It was quite easy in the dark - just pluck them off the tree branches!

SHRA means Should Have Read Ahead. It occurs when the answer to your question is already posted.

The tax payment is a posting a photo with at least 2 chickens in it.
Which is why I now start at the end and read backwards 😊

I appreciate your rant. To put it mildly, I have reevaluated the healthcare system since Covid.
I missed that Rant and agree completely. There are of course exceptions to every rule. I have had to isolate chickens (usually roosters) from the tribes. Always in the Free Range Flock which is made up of many smaller tribes. Or when I rescue or am rehabilitating an injured/sick bird that isn’t able to immediately join an existing tribe, although I’ve since made it a policy to take at least two chickens whenever I take on a rescue if possible. This also usually helps me in housing them outside the RV as well. Because 150 sq feet isn’t a lot of room for two people, (and formerly two cats, a goat… toss in a few chickens and it gets even more crowded!)

So yes, the psychological impact of that Virus on people was terrible. From isolation in ICU’s to segregation in communities. I was really, really isolated as well for a solid month, and went several months without seeing anyone other than my husband, for a variety of non virus related reasons. I am not really a people person, I’m an introvert, and am usually quite happy to be alone, with my animals, reading, etc. Even I noticed an impact on my mental well being from the lack of contact. Given the option I would also go Gator. And now I have to go take some back tax photos tomorrow!

I read a veterinarian journal and learned that it would be a good idea to bring Jaffar in for the night (say goodnight Jaffar) I hope that he’s okay in the morning.
And to my previous post… this doesn’t count as isolation, because Alex is part of the Tribe and the Chickens are part of the household! 😉
