She is ok, this is normal.

I took Henny Penny off the nest once daily and gave her a nice mash (layer soaked in water to make a porridge), sometimes I cracked an egg in it.

What she didn't eat the otjers would.

She would also have huge smelly poop, and sometimes she would drink water. I was worried as I knew she was getting some fluids with the mash.
I just took her off the nest. She let me know that she’s not happy with it!

It isn't your fault. You are a very good chook mum, and you have a vet that you can take them to. Unfortunately, it is part of our (in general, not specifically you or I) desire to have hens that produce a lot, push the bird's limits, and shorten their life span. Also a bit of fate in terms of other maladies.... you give your girls a wonderful life❤️❤️❤️❤️!

P.S. I just got a text from your girls. They said you gave them a GREAT life...until you locked them off the stoop and they can no longer 'knock' on the door for attention or treats.;)
I know they’ve got access to Beakbook but I can’t work out where they’ve hidden Charlie’s laptop! ;) :D

Miracles happen. I took one ear of corn 🌽 and yelled “CORN!” The chooks came running from everywhere around the yard, right into the coop/run. Now they are in for the night and so am I. (Back in the house) with Xzit. :D I’m hoping for a good night’s rest.:bow:confused:

I’m pretty sure, that me and Xzit are going to be the best of friends, after her broody session. Her attitude has changed so much since she started setting on the eggs. She has never showed me such attention, as she does now. Crazy snuggling chicken! :hugs
