I just love their coloring. They are extremely pretty. I still rooting for you to get colored eggs.

! Still lotsa pickled eggs. Would u prefer them fresh and soft or a month old kind of rubbery (in pickled fashion) and Hot?

I think fresh for me... I’ve never tried pickled eggs... I love pickles and olives but the eggs have never appealed to me.. so never had a desire.. BUT I am willing to try yours! Will you be out there again next month?

Thanks Bob! Me too! They are getting a little more friendly... as you can see by the pics that I was able to get pretty close to them without them bolting... I was also able to pet Poppy yesterday ... I guess as they age they will gain more trust

Thanks Bob! Me too! They are getting a little more friendly... as you can see by the pics that I was able to get pretty close to them without them bolting... I was also able to pet Poppy yesterday ... I guess as they age they will gain more trust

You are earning their trust. It always takes time, patience, and great treats!

The Purple Ones Tastest the Bestest

Sticking to the theme of what chickens like to eat, I bought them cracked corn which includes both yellow and purple corn. I first noticed with Hattie that she would eat the purple ones and throw the yellow ones to the ground to find more people ones. When all the people corn was gone, she would stop eating and expect me to get more from the bag. She would flick the yellow corn off my hand with her beak until it was empty so I would get her more purple. I got video of Maleficent doing the same thing, picking the purple ones out. Can they really taste that different?

Probably not but it's like M&Ms: the green ones are always mine! They taste no different but I like the green ones.

You could try separating some out yourself BY Bob, make a mash and do a taste test!
