I'm a simple person. A lot of the highfalutin' arguments go over my head so for me it boils down to: we know so very little; be kind. :)Animals are sentient beings. They feel pain & fear & I believe, love. The very least we can do is be kind because we're the ones with the power over their lives.
Absolutely agree.

The exchange of money is more complex than 'ownership', but it takes a bit of scratching at the surface in order to see it.
Well that's my starting point. I've never bought, or sold a live creature.

I don't know, but as a house pet the feather's would be easier to see and pick up off of the carpet than dog or cat hair, I suppose. They do make those chicken diaper's.

I like to think we would have litter trained them by now. Just saying.

Oh dear. that's very worrying. I had you down as one of the more intelligent contributors to BYC.:p:lol:

There's a problem. The chickens metabolism isn't of the type that has the occasional dump; they do it all day long and at night as well. I think anything with a crop is a constantly feeding and evacuating the system.

People do that now! I see adds for chicken tutus etc. all the time.

I know what you mean. Can't be contented with letting an animal be an animal. Have to dress them up as though they were doll's!
