I think it is also a side affect of some people’s careers... ;) not complaining mind you, but most of my acquaintances working in tech fields tend to be more aware of the targeted advertising, and collection of personal information. I for the most part couldn’t care less if google knows I need a new mattress because my mic is turned on and I’m griping about my bed being uncomfy  and the random fridge ads? How does Facebook know I need a fridge for eggs? And really do I care? It is interesting... the ads here aren’t targeted for me, yet... I’m half wondering how long it will take for them to hone in on my interests and desires, it’s kind of an experiment :D oh and the rodent control ads were awesome! And reasonably local to me businesses too...

Mr Bob heres the post
I didn't know that about ad blockers. I use one partly to stop 3rd parties accessing my info. Any site I take it off on I get my junk inbox swamped. I need to look into a premium membership. Whether I can afford it is another thing...:hmm

Seems harmless enough now. It's the infrastructure I worry about. How about that DNA database they are building on Ancestry.com and the like.

I just did that too. Not expensive. $60/year which is a mere $5/mo. Not much to ask.

My dream car is a ‘69 Charger, Andrew’s is a Firebird... but 100% I’m putting heated seats in her if I ever get one! Our Dodge is a ‘97 and my truck is a ‘92 Chevy, but the Jeeps are newer, 2005 Liberty and a 2011 Patriot. The Patriot was our first car bought together and was new, the lease was in my name and registration and insurance in his. We had it fully paid off in 6 months though because we had to be basically debt free to qualify for our mortgage, it was our city car with off-road capability for “when we moved to the farm”
