You are amazing. That seems like quite a project. Is there a special peeling method you use?

Awe how sweet! Thank you!

It is indeed quite a project  but last time would you know i sold out all 23 1/2 jars in less than a week? That made it where i just Had to do it again!

I find quail eggs to be much easier than chickens' and i guess i use a mixture of methods. The recipe i have says crack rhe shells the whole way around and peel it in a row itll come off like wrapping paper round and round in a long strip. Instead though i get it started at the bubble and with it cracked all up it kind of comes off all in one thing... pic next post

I save all the shells also and bake them for 20 mins at 350* then i crush em up pretty good and give them out in allllll the dust baths. They always eat a little of their dust baths and it helps cuz i dont need calcium containers. Some people use a blender and ive seen it advertised on etsy as human calcium supplement!

Yes. I get that. I am totally schizophrenic on that topic.
Part of me thinks they already know everything and if they want to bore themselves snooping on my chicken-chat then who cares?
The other part of me is completely paranoid and I even have a cash-only burner phone which I use to create on-line aliases and a prepaid (cash again) credit card. I confuse myself sometimes!
I have recently got a bit worried as the ads that appear on BYC clearly believe that I am in my 20s and looking for casual dates. Maybe my aliases have taken on a life of their own. They certainly seem to be having fun and a much more active social life than I ever had at that age!
Oh well, my computer thinks I'm male & in need of viagra & hot Russian dates. :lau :lau :lau Why isn't is offering me free chickens?
Now I’m feeling left out... my ads keep trying to sell me paint and dairy cattle stuff. The boat ads have disappeared, but I’m sure my phone is snooping waiting to try to sell me something new!

Sorry massive quite tree incoming

Sansa's naming :love :bow

:clap what a wonderful recap! Thank you so much! Your Really good at this!

Ugh. The d*mn husband was giving me trouble so i took the littlest and skipped town for Two days. Been struggling to get my household caught up after that because it is an extra difficult household. Lost 14 of the quail babies under his care :rant  :hit

He said my job is Easy! (being an npip breeder with a business in the green after its first year and most importantly taking care of our family which includes twin 3 yr olds and a 2 yr old) he also said many other things but it didnt take long to start begging me back and i just cant leave my step children. They may not be biologically my own but they cant be anymore mine than they are :love the needier twin clamped onto me and would Not Let Go without screaming and crying during the Whole first day back. Like id been gone for a month or something  I had to go potty with him screaming in the hall :hit terrified of loosing the only woman hes had full time in his life for his whole life :love

No worries now though he even issued a public apology after bringing the crap to fb  :rant

:lau i missed you guys sooooo much!

Quailie update coming soon! Stay tuned!
:hugs:hugs:hugs
For shame, I’m glad he got over it and came to his senses... relationships can be tough, never mind with the kids involved.

Ha! Me too.
At the start it was fun to be designing and planning and making choices and coming to terms with the fact that it is completely over the top but that is OK because it is my retirement gift to myself. But now all that is really old and I just want it finished and the Princesses moved in. We are really close (not to finished but to move-in-able) but somehow never quite there.
Before I found Fluffy Butt Acres I posted in coop design to get advice on the Chicken Palace so there are a few photos on this thread: https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/coop-on-a-hillside-roost-heights.1338548/
(hope I did that right).
I have to wait until the guys are finished inside the coop before I let the Princesses move in because they (the Princesses not the guys) have suicidal tendencies and go straight to taste every abandoned screw, nail and staple. So I want finished and raked clean before move-in. Meanwhile the ladies are camping in the middle section in a coop made for the school project and using the run, but they aren't yet in the cozy coop.

Chicken Palace is correct. That is an astonishing coop and run. Just amazing. I can't wait for it to be finished either!
