Good evening everyone - at least it is evening in the UK - I'm just popping in to say hi.

After many months away from BYC, I have sooo much catching up to do. I am currently on page 455 of 1048 of Bob's thread, but I am going to read every post! I love all your stories, photos and chat.

Sorry to hear about Tuppence @Ribh - I hope you're holding up
Hello Ali James.:) I've noticed you working your way through the thread. I was thinking about sending you a PM to encourage you to join in.

Perfectly Phyllis. You are a talented man @BY Bob! I keep wanting to make name signs for the Chicken Palace but somehow it is all I can do to get the weekend chores done.
I just walked the ladies back home from their gardening duty. It is a big bed they are working on - about 20’x10’ - and it will take them a while longer before they are done.
I was a bit anxious walking them across the field today because the coop camera picked up a fox right outside the run and I saw another one running across the field early in the morning. But both to and fro trips were uneventful. I was armed with a big stick.
I hope they get something nice for dinner after slaving in your raised beds.:p:lol:

You are too kind. I was just complaining to my wife that they were just supposed to be black silhouettes like our children brought home from school. I've gone overboard and created more work for myself.

Maybe you should get yourself a paintball gun and lie in wait for it. Thankfully you built them an amazing home. They are safe from nasty old foxes.

I corrected it but I sure did that. Embarassing! Thank heavens you told me. :lau:gig

Oh I see! So I wasn't bamboozled after all! That's a relief. If there's one thing I struggle to get right in a professional sense it's "wait... When is that meeting with the Americans/Europeans? Tomorrow I think [30 minutes later] Oh no! It's on in a minute!!!"

Ha! They get to eat all the bugs and worms in the raised beds and the little weed shoots. I sometimes worry that they eat so much when working in the garden that I will have to carry them home!

I still have George’s paint gun in the garage. But somehow it is never to hand when I see the critters.
