What?! Only two??? WE have to work on our enabling.... :lau

But seriously, they are adorable. Congratulations RC, I'm sure they will be fine.

Besides you have all of us vicariously enjoying your new babies and giving you advice!

:thumbsup
I will definitely need advice. Now back on to inspect the fluffy butts (risking projectile poop in the face!)

She looks like she's doing those bicycle exercises where you lay on your back and "pedal" your legs in the air! :gig
That is exactly what my two new babies do. I turn them upside down (supposedly to inspect for pasty butt, but in fact because they have adorable yellow fluffy tummies!) and they bicycle in my hand. :love :love

I was surprised at only 2 myself but that leaves room for more batches of babies in the future.
I thought two now and another two early next year. I was always thinking I was aiming for 6-8 and no more than 10. But now I see how crazy active these two are I am relieved I didn't get tempted to get three in one go!

Ginger went broody again this weekend. I decided to let her sit. I gave her 6 green eggs to hatch.

Rich doesn't know yet... :lau

I just fed Jaffar, and brought him out to be with the other birds. I don't think he wanted to go back outside, he seemed a little argumentative when I picked him up. But no bugs on him today. I'm hopeful that he will fully recover, but he hasn't crowed (as a rooster should) since the fly strike. I have had chickens for 3.5 years, and I'm thinking I know nothing about them anymore!
That is good news though. Give him time. He too has been traumatized. When he is feeling better he will let the whole world know.
