So Sunday 14th June.I think I just read day 17 or 18 in the June Hatch Along thread. I'll try to verify.
Edited to add:
Here we are: "Around day 18"

Awww, you are very attentive and taking good care of her Bob. ❤Day 7: She Must Have Heard the Eggs Complaining
Sydney came off the nest at 12:10 today within 10 minutes of yesterday. It was already hotter as it was when she went back in around 2:00 yesterday, 88.7°F (31.5°C). I brought her some ice water to drink and refrigerated watermelon finds to peck at to try and call her down.
The eggs must have gotten to her. She only stayed out for around 50 minutes today.
Here is my sweety.

Oh, that's a relief Shad.Tack showed up this morning demanding breakfast. She's not broody so she's a stop out.
It's possible she didn't want to venture out in the rain at roost time and decided to stay wherever she was. I've had a couple of stop outs over the years. We shall see what happens tonight.
I moved Rocket to a quiet corner of the barn/coop this morning. Locked her in her own laying box with her nine fertile eggs (I candled them) Took her a while to adjust, but she finally did sit back down on them. Found two broken eggs under the house, that were starting to smell. Anyways, she's moved now, where I can monitor her better.![]()
Oh, how disappointing. Sorry to hear that Featherhead. But at least you know that Rocket is safe.Rocket rejected her clutch of 9 eggs.![]()
I do not have an incubator. Free ranging a broody hen, is too much worry and headache for me.
I am very glad you were home and able to help out.Day 6: I Cannot Explain What Happened Today
Sydney came off the nest at 11:49 am this morning and was only off the nest for 35 min today.
Let me correct that, off a nest today for 35 min.
While Sydney was off the nest eating, drinking, bathing, grooming, and pooing this happened.

That's right. Lilly is sitting on Sydney's nest!
Now I was really busy at work today. I thought about rooting Lilly off Sydney's nest but instead I fired up the camera, hoping that Lilly would finish and leave before Sydney came back. While wanting to catch what happened on film to share with all. Frankly I was expecting a big fight.
Here is what happened.
OK, I thought. When Lilly leaves Sydney will move back over.
Not so fast my friend!
Lilly hung out on the nest for almost 45 minutes. Then she got up and left.
No egg was laid.
Was she just joining in the fun? Was she reminiscing about her egg laying days again? Who knows?Just more Lilly being Lilly.
So I watched. Would Sydney move over?
I watched.........
I watched some more...........
Is that her getting up?! Nope
I watched some more.......
After 15 minutes, this happened.
I ran out of patience and put her back. There were 6 eggs in the other nest, 3 in hers. I guess Barred Rocks can't count.
How does this happen? Has anyone ever heard of this?
All is settled now but I have realized that if I was traveling like I used to before COVID, I could never let her hatch. Mrs BY Bob could not give it the attention which I have. No fault of hers but working from home with these cameras makes it a ton easier.

Hotel rooms confuse me too! I need all the hotels to give me the same room number, surely that's not too much to ask forI am very glad you were home and able to help out.
Personally I have a lot of sympathy with Sydney. I am constantly going to the wrong car in the grocery store car park (‘wait a moment, I could swear I parked it right here’), and before Covid when I was traveling for work, i would do the same thing with hotel rooms.
Poor Sydney, her confusion is no mystery to me!
That's funny. I started having the same problem with hotel rooms. I started staying mostly in Hilton brand hotels where I could use my phone for the room key because I could leave the room number in place on the phone.I am very glad you were home and able to help out.
