I haven’t been here in a while because I bit the bullet and rehomed my bantamsand I couldn’t bare to be here and talk chicken... had I realized what a devastating blow this was going to be I may have not done it... but as time has gone on I am coming to terms with it.. I had to keep reminding myself that I was ultimately doing them a favor.. in the long run. I must admit that the first few days I was torn apart with “abandonment issues”... and oh, how I miss seeing them in my flock

I do hope so. The Princesses generally ignore the little ones except when they do a menacing prowl around the fire-escape. But I did hear one of the Princesses crow over the weekend. I mean just like a rooster only missing the long ending (though I gather from @featherhead007 and @Shadrach that true roosters sometimes skip the finale of their crow too). I suspect that means that hierarchy is playing more of a role in the Palace than it used to. So I am just hoping it doesn't play out in a lot of aggression. It's going just fine. I don't believe that you have anything to worry about. You may not like what you see at times but there is no fear the way they get on the big roost next to the big girls. That's very good.
