We all talk too much!:D
Getting caught up slowly.
The bits I was waiting for arrived from the UK. I know it doesn't look pretty, yet anyway, but it works.
I've had to change operating systems on two machines; Puppy Linux, my previous system of choice just spat at the new hardware and configuration and went screaming in a host of hot electrons down the nearest piece of wire.
I'm running Ubuntu Mate on both systems. Believe it or not, that little box on top of the big box is a computer. In fact it's the computer I'm using as I type this.
The antique Sony laptop will live on, but it's impossible for day to day usage. I use it as a music server and for that it's great.
Picture resizing proved to be a bit of a task with the new operating system and I'm still trying to find which compression gives the best forum results so if the upload pictures are not quite David Baily bear with me.

It’s so awesome you have the knowledge and determination for this.

Definitely there is progress. As a good start, California has at least outlawed chicken cages. The must at least be "cage free". However the definition of cage free and free range certainly need work. It is a least a start.
A few people close to me (my parents and a couple others) will only buy pasture raised eggs now, thanks to me. ❤

Maggie update
Maggie continues to be Maggie - see below her terrorizing the young ladies and her fluffy butt grazing on the lawn this morning.
But the signs are not good. She has not passed either another lash egg or laid a real egg in over a week. So what the vet felt cannot be a regular egg.
He wants to see her again today and maybe give her an X-ray.
I am pessimistic but she didn't seem stressed going in to see him the first time so I am taking her in this afternoon.

The legbar ladies fly just like leghorns. That is legit flight.

Please let us know how Maggie does today. :hugs :hugs:hugs

What a great photo!
Thanks! I have to take BILLIONS of shots to get a good one! Or find a new silly noise to make them all stop on alert.... I still didn't get all four completely in there! Chicken photographer has got to be a way harder job than your average pet photographer!:lau

That is an XJ. The Vande Plas refers to the luxury package. Those wire rims are special. I always loved them.

Did you say what year it was? I once got Mrs BY Bob a used 1996 XJ6 for Christmas. It was her dream car. British Racing Green. It was not a Vanden Plas. I could not afford that! 😆
Oh. Haha. Shows what a car buff I am NOT. It’s a 1990.
