This Fudge. She's in a bit of a state. I have no idea why but she has the most difficult moults of any chicken here. I just feel so sorry for her.
However, this year she is staying close to the tribe and for the last two nights when I've checked she's been wedged between the wall and Fat Bird.
She's been spending a lot of time with Fat Bird during this moult. I can't help wondering if Fat Bird looks after her in some way.

This Myth. I find it quite difficult to feel sorry for Myth about anything. She is by standards of behaviour here pretty unpleasant.
She looks not too bad in this picture but this year she had a more difficult moult than usual. She got tinned cod as an extra treat today, much to the disgust of the rest.

Yep. They're shockers all right.

Lozzy agrees with me... :idunno I don't see feathered feet ~ which may not be saying much. I do know that's how the laced pattern is usually drawn. :D Anything else I can think off looks more like the BR.
What else would the highlighted below be?

Sorry to hear about Croppy Kris. :hugs

She had a much better quality of life with you than in that mite infested coop. I don't suppose it has been struck by lightning yet by any chance?:fl

Sadly, I can’t even hope for that anymore because they have filled it with more new chickens, and the outdoor sty they call a coop as well. My mother occasionally will feed and water them when she notices that it hasn’t been done in too long, but I just cannot, and will not, have anything to do with any of it. I’m thinking they will put the feather picking bare backed (probably mite infested) outdoor ones inside for the winter too. Ten chickens in that space? Better than the 16 or so they started with. And then my mother wouldn’t need to slog through calf deep sloppy chicken poop to water the poor outside ones.

I’m half of a mind to call the SPCA, but that would completely destroy the farm, and their policy is often to seize all the animals... and that would include my flocks as well, our Cats, and the cows, my mother’s pet sheep. And likely they would all be put down.
