I got confused and posted this on Ribh's thread by mistake. Lucky people getting a double dose!

He loves to hang around us, but he doesn't like to be petted. I'm ok with that. prefer my boys a bit standoffish.

The deer hang out right outside the fence line and the chickens pay no attention. But, oh boy, if my dog Ruby sees them, that is great sport. She loves chasing them away. The deer are welcome neighbors in our community. I have several neighbors who regularly feed them. I find them very peaceful in the yard, but they do eat my flowers and hostas, and that doesn't make me very peaceful.

I used to teach piano in a suburb on a hill and the neighbours had an electric fence around their garden beds to keep the deer out!

I'm a hypocrite too. I eat chicken, but I cannot cull and eat my own chicken.

I’ve stopped eating chicken (mostly), it just feels wrong. Hubby (who is vegetarian) says “It’s not like it’s anyone you know!”

I've broken them all for the time being ~ & I would still have to immunise, which is expensive... The man hasn't thought all these things through...
