My back is doing much better now, I am almost walking properly again. I’m down to just severe muscle pain for the most part and alternating hot and cold is helping.
@BY Bob you wouldn’t recall my previous back issue, or our adventures with trainee paramedics (yes, they need to learn and practice somewhere!) as it happened in 2014 and I didn’t join BYC until 2018. I had another of my rescues end up ‘somewhat eggbound’ with a shelless egg she couldn’t pass yesterday. I helped her pass it by gently pulling the membrane and bringing her into the warm big coop. Walking her there hunched over in little spurts was the hardest part of the whole endeavor. She is receiving supplemental calcium daily now. I also managed to finish off making my chicken prawn gumbo (all its missing is sausage and okra) by putting a cutting board on my lap to chop the veggies. Here is a broth making shot from Wednesday night, local prawn shells and our homegrown chicken bones.
