Well I decided to try my “take a nap after a cup of coffee” technique for improving the weather, and woke up as the rain lightened off. I figured it’s not like any of the girls will want to be out in that downpour anyways... I was wrong, so wrong! There is white stuff on the ground. Awful cold wet white stuff.View attachment 2458691
Note the dark grey spots? That is slush. One of the reasons I dislike S*** is that we get very wet heavy stuff, not the fluffy powder, dry cold stuff. Do not be deceived... all the mud is still there, the ground is unfrozen, and it will soak you through as fast as the rain does! I’m really hoping we don’t have a white Christmas.

That would be a nasty surprise. Yikes!

I've been going through some pictures of the place I live that were taken before I moved here. It's pretty distressing tbh. What's distressing is how few of the creatures that were brought here survived; rabbits, goats, ducks, chickens, guinea fowl, dogs, cats, a pig.......
I don't know what she was called, or exactly what happened to her or her chicks.

That mama hen was a real beauty. Shame she did not make it. A shame for all of them.
