I think I’ve got two broodies!! :barnie Charlie is STILL sitting in the house all day and now Tegan is sitting on a nest at every opportunity. I’m going to shut the gate to the run during the day all weekend to keep them out of the houses, I’m sure both salmons will let me know in no uncertain terms when they want to lay!
I reckon the salmons can be trusted to speak up whenever something is amiss :D

I’m a bit concerned about Tegan’s comb, at first I thought it was dirty but now I’m not sure. Can chooks get fungal infections on their combs? Can anyone tell me what they think this is?

I have Wrold again. She is in the cat carrier in the run bok~bokking for all she is worth.

Chicken pox? Maybe... It causes black spots on the combs. It doesn't usually require treatment & goes away after a bit.

ETA: Sorry, I'm not on my game this morning @ all. Fowl pox.
Good idea! Pox didn't even cross my mind.

My Frizzle-breeder friend thinks it’s dirt. Maybe I should give it a gentle wipe-down with a damp cloth.
I posted black spots on my road-runners combs and everyone suggested it was peck injuries.
See what @Shadrach thinks.
