I did not. That's funny.I googled the shrieking (I'm sure you did too) and I got information tumbleweeds in the form of chicken recipes.
2 days of sun in 7 days so far. Hopefully there is sun tomorrow because it is getting very cold tonight.that's the truth. Coming from Oz 2 days of grey skies in a row would do for me! I don't know how you northern types live with that.![]()
Well I googled *Do chickens have nightmares* & turned this up:
I saw Grant Imahara & Kari Byron live at Kansas State University when my daughter was an engineering student there. They were actually not only entertaining but very inspirational. May Grant rest in peace.
Poor Grant, that was so sad.![]()
I literally ran into him at Dragon Con in 2010 or 2012... he was super nice. I was distracted by something shiny in the merchant hall and actually walked right into him! It was probably 2010. Such a loss.He lived his life very well and inspired many thousands of people.
Ok it is beautiful, but I couldn’t deal with that on a regular basis... nopeOh the situation is entirely my fault, and of course once he has created a 'plough mountain' it is more-or-less impossible to move it.
The reason it is my fault is we did not fully clear up the construction materials from the driveway and it turns out that would be the best place to pile the snow. BIG lesson for next year, but I think for now I am stuck with where we are.
I got another foot of snow today but was able to use my 'pass through the mountain' to get to the Chicken Palace, so all good until it turns icy and then I will deploy the plywood boards again.
Unfortunately, and I still can't take this in, we have snow expected on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday this coming week and Tuesday the following week. Oh boy!
But pretty it certainly is. Sunset at the Chicken Palace.

Apparently they dream so will assume they have nightmares too.
Kris how is your "lost" hen Lucky doing?I can totally see that! Like how my fur chickens will sometimes hunt dream mice!
I don't know what to expect yet--but we will surely find out, because this is literally THE most popular on BYC this thread is pog dudeView attachment 1633786
I have been wanting to do this for some time now. I knew once I started doing this there would be no going back. So I am now diving in and I hope you all enjoy coming along for the ride.
First of all let me tell you how we view our flock as that will help you to understand why we treat them like we do.
Our birds are our pets and we treat them as such. We do not care if someone is not laying eggs. They are welcome to stay at Fluffy Butt Acres until they pass naturally. (Now don't go telling them that! I would hate for word to get out) We do thoroughly enjoy the fresh eggs.
I plan to tell stories from the past as well as from today. I hope you all enjoy and will share stories of your flocks as well.
