Should Have Read Ahead. SHRASHRA?
First wing feathers is what I was taught.I think so, too. Their double barring will show up with their first real feathers, I believe. Or does that not show until their full size feathers come in?
Possibly a little bitsa in there. From where did you obtain her?Yes, Bridge is a big girl. Ester... not so much. She’s tiny, her feathers look.l WAY different from Bridge, her feet look white, and her eggs are almost white. I hope her genetics are OK.
I'm sorry I had to. I read the entire 3000+ thread Backyard Bob. Anyways, I'm not planning on being a frequent poster, but I thought you would enjoy this. Your first fan art!

And little Xzit is doing well. (Very curious peep)!Off to town today (errands to run) the big birds are going crazy because two are in lay. The littles kept me up last night peeeep peeeep peeeep. They wanted more food (but at 02:00) ?And little Coco wanted to be held again. I caved in! Now, she wants to perch on my head!

Oh boy. I have read conflicting views on Vaseline and frostbite and no peer reviewed or even veterinarian articles.
I am wondering what to do. I could bring them in to the garage although navigating the snow mountain with a chicken in each arm feels a bit perilous. I could put in a space heater for the night - I am not too worried about humidity as it is very dry and there is oodles of ventilation - but I don't think it will make much difference unless they are right under it and I don't think that would be safe - I would only dare set it up in the servant's quarters where there is a real floor.
I can see myself spending the night ferrying hot-water bottles out to the Palace, or microwaving little hats to keep their combs warm.
On the other hand there is a guy here who had temperatures of -30 and his were doing just fine without heat.
Hmmm.
Yeah... I almost wonder if she has some Leghorn with her large comb and small body. California Gray, maybe? But not sure about the white legs (which could just be faded from being a consistent layer... will check her chick photos). She’s from my feed store, that sources from Privette.Possibly a little bitsa in there. From where did you obtain her?
