Haha yes that got pretty far afield! I think some people do crochet hen saddles, aprons, sometimes tutus, bonnets, etc. Sadly there were no pictures of anything with chicken models, only people coverings. I have interesting Hazel pics from the two previous photo shoots so I can pay some tax for them

Well, folks… Ruby continues to respond well to tubing. However, her hormones have already returned and she’s quite swollen. I’ll likely have her euthanized soon, as she did not tolerate the last two drainings very well and I don’t think I’ll put her through that again. As of today, she seems happy with good body language and vocalizations, but I’m bracing myself.

My hands are burning, I forgot to wear gloves while peeling freshly roasted chilis for the freezer
I so know better.
In chicken news this morning Rosie was once again screaming her head off and everything and everybody. The other two finally went and hid in the coop to get away, Bill tried to get her to join them, but it didn't work today. He had had enough, he grabbed her and brought her inside, deposited her in our windowless bathroom and shut the door with the light out. Silence. He ate breakfast and went and opened the bathroom door and greeted her with good morning! As if it was a new day. Out she came making little happy chicken noises and off they went back outside.
