Heart can cause liquid poos as well.

I assume you mean heat (though probably heart can too). She went to roost as normal and had a full crop. But she just wasn't as peppy as normal.
I will check her crop in the morning and see if she has perked up.

My worst banty from last year & the nut job who went broody as soon as she began laying are sitting for me now. I'm about to put fertile Campine & Aracauna eggs under them & hope for pullets. My 1st time doing this so a tad worried.

When I make corn on the cob I make enough for the hens as well as us. They love it!

I have concluded my birds prefer spinach to red lettuce. Katydid is a salad bird. Shirina drops her salad 50% of the time. If they bite a bit while I hand out food should I poke them? Is this a bad behavior or a natural behavior?

Try a shrimp salad, with young spinach greens. I will bet that they like it! And if they bite a bit, pull the food away for a while and say “No biting!” (Works for me)!

My girls really love Kale, and collard greens as well.
If one of my girls gets over eager and bites, I pull the food and my hand away and say NO loudly. They get the message.

And she is broody for the 3rd time at 18 months old. So yes I caved since I will have a hen to raise them, she is on day 3 of incubation of the final 8 Drumstick eggs.

I am glad you are doing this! Drummie deserves to have his bloodline continued into the future.

To be fair, it can be awkward when you know someone is interested in you and you don’t feel the same way. I’ve been on both sides of that fence.

I definitely see the sense in that. A serious breeder of any animal strives to breed out bad characteristics and promote the good qualities in the line.
