If she’s not broody she won’t sit in it to hatch.I honestly don’t know if the egg is fertilised?should I keep it under her when I put them back in the coop?

I met a man while on holiday several years ago. He would buy eggs for his bed and breakfast business, he got a lot of little chicks that way.Listen, I have heard, that some people actually incubated and hatched eggs from a farmers market.. knock yourself out! Good cluck
Thank you Rural Mouse. Finally we have an all American challenge to the terror of Australian killer wildlife! Glad we can at least try and hold our own! Though I am struggling with the concept of a killer yucca TBH!No drop bears in MT. Beware of jackalopes. Real bears can climb trees...so can mountain lions (who do like dropping on their prey from above). Also watch out for rocky areas (snakes: Rattlers) and cactus and yucca, and blizzards and tornadoes and volcanos and earthquakes and avalanches and moose and .... (keeps the tourists to just tourists: they go back home). Oh yeah, and wolves and stampedes and hordes of marauding Indians and no running water or electricity (thank you Hollywood)
