Final Roosting on BY Bob

Every night when I bring the girls inside from their little run they roost on my arm. When we get to my office then they hang out on my arm and from themselves, even nap for a while.

Here they are last night. For the first time someone slips off my arm.

Because of that they adjusted their roosting location. I was a little worried about my head. 😆 After all there is precidence.

I didn't want to turn on the light to disturb him. Branch did not utter a peep yesterday but this morning while drinking coffee I heard him. Not bad for his 2nd morning of crowing, I have heard far worse from my bigger roosters. Basil didn't sound that good until he had crowed for over a week.
That is such a cool crow. He sounds like a full sized rooster. Not too bad to start with little fellow. You are certainly not squeaking. Well done.

You just had to go one better than me, didn't you! 🤣

I have been training them for weeks now. 😉

Just kidding. 😅

They are the sweetest of all the chicks I have raised. I am having a real problem moving them outside. They are still in the house this morning. 🤫

Just look at those happy chickens living together! :clap
I wish, princess is pushing her weight around and the other two pecking. Really worried about them all in the coop

I'm thinking of just on at a time with the little ones in the coop or maybe amber and flexi after.

I hope anyone here will have some pointers. 🙏

Weather is good today but it will soon turn and very cold at night

That is seriously adorable. What a lot of trust they must have in you.

I'll bet you were sorely tempted to go to bed with them roosting on you! 🤗❤️

At this point I would let them figure it out. They have to establish their own order and as long as no one is getting hurt I would let them get in with it. Moving one in and out will only confuse the issue further. It will settle in a week or so if you just let them get on with it.

I wouldn't worry about the cold too much Marie. As long as they have shelter from the wind they should be warm enough. After all, they each have their own feathery eiderdowns!

I was late to dinner. Mrs BY Bob came in and removed them from my shoulders to get me to eat with her.

I agree with BYBob. They seem to be mingling peacefully while out and about. Hopefully the coop integration should not be too stressful.
