I'm reading along and nobody's yet said this looks like what a scorpion does. But doesn't it? Or maybe a skunk!

I had to buy eggs last year and it felt wrong on so many levels!

I need to think about this - maybe I can avoid it if I am careful. I did freeze some for baking but I imagined they would be used in the middle of winter not in October and I really wasn't expecting the Roadrunners to hold out on me.
I am reasonably sure they haven't been nesting in strange places but I will do a thorough search tomorrow.
It is increasingly obvious that I need more chickens!

The only pet I didn’t hold in my lap today, was Chaco. (She’s just a little too big to sit on my lap) that could actually be dangerous for me, if she did! (Just saying)

The world would be a much better place, if people would have and care for more chickens !

Those who read on my thread will have seen this already but I wanted to share my broody Jap bantam here as well as I've never seen a broody do this before. Just watch what she does with her tail!
