Meet the delivery at the doors. You don't have covid so you aren't in lockdown. What will they do, kick you out?
A neighbor came to see me yesterday. She couldn’t get access inside, she wasn’t vaccinated for Covid. :( But she did deliver me some needed items from my house.

The diet I have been put on, in hospital, is for high blood pressure, and diabetes (they don’t know, so they don’t take chances)
Have her bring you a big container of pepper then. It helps lower blood pressure and adds some flavor. If you're in some pain, add some turmeric (used in curries) which helps (and pepper enhances the effect). No sugars (or anything that can be converted) and helps with blood pressure, so you can at least change the flavor some.

Maybe they wouldn't let you eat just anything you want to while they sort you out (particularly if they are worried about diabetes), but I can't believe they would deny you some tasty and healthy things. I am very confident people from your church would be happy to bring you some healthy tasty snacks or even whole meals. You are quite obviously much loved so I am sure they will help.
You won't get well unless you have good and enjoyable food.
When my elderly (I think at the time 88-year old) Dad was in hospital with multiple broken ribs I smuggled home-cooked food into him which he kept in his locker and ate when he thought nobody was watching.
We were busted because he was eating a sausage while sitting up in bed and got mustard on the sheets.
In the end the nurses were OK with it but said they couldn't really turn a blind eye to the hip flask of whisky I had also provided (just a small mouthful before bedtime!).
In the end I busted him out of the hospital and he did just fine at home with some help.

I think that I need you to come here and take this situation in hand.(this wasn’t my first choice of hospitals, the ambulance chose it for me) :idunno
