Still in the hospital. Not much of a change in my condition. I’m hoping for a better day tomorrow. Hospital food and service here is really lousy. But I’m managing and though lightheaded, I’m still breathing!
Worried about you. Hoping as I read ahead things are figured out and you are on the mend!

I think we would all love to see and learn about your chickens. 😁
Ok. Here are my chickens (all but the RIR’s). My flock totals to 20 chickens + 1 rooster. Fluffy here, in the profile pic, is one of my very favorite chickens. She is an EE (she lays blue eggs), and she is very gentle and tame. Funny thing is, She became tame by herself. We didn’t really have any Interaction with her as a chick, and she just became tame. Next on the list, is Hawk, who recently overcame her ā€œillnessā€ (she was egg bound). She is a White Jersey Giant, and I gave her that name because her eyes were the biggest and blackest form all the White Jersey giant. She is tame, but doesn’t really like being picked up. Then there is Ruby, Oreo Penguin, and Marshmallow, the Cochins. They are all tame except Marshmallow (the white one), and the tamest of the 3 would be Ruby. Next, we have the EE’s. Fluffy, Paint-head, and a hen that looks a bit like Fluffy, but black. We named one of the EE’s ā€œPaint-Headā€, because when she was a chick, she had a brown-ish dot on her head, and it looked as if someone dipped her head in a bit of paint. She now looks kind of like Fluffy, but darker brown (I will post pics of everyone). Then, the rooster, an Appenzeller Spitzhauben. Ne is really handsome, and he is getting a bit more ā€œtameā€ towards us, but he is still pretty scared. We also have 8 RIR’s form out neighbor, and 1 Buff Orpington. And last but not least, 3 OE’s, which, somehow, one of them lays blue eggs. I guess she must have a dominant blue egg gene. Or she might just be an EE that looks a LOT like an OE, but bigger. Our OE’s are smaller than all the rest if the hens, but they are pretty fast. And here are a million pictures. The White Jersey giant is Hawk, I didn’t really take pics of the others. *the hen on the glass table, that looks ā€œbarredā€ is the ā€œweirdā€ OE*.

P.S. sorry if mist if the pictures are of Hawk and Fluffy, but they seem to like the camera. *I will add the picture of the ā€œweirdā€ OE in just a bit*

Awesome idea! :gig
:lau
It worked, but the desk became angry and said that if I need something, ā€œlet’s be serious about it ā€œ party poopers!
Forgive me peeps, but I believe that the breakfast eggs were store bought conflict eggs. And I needed three packets of ketchup to eat them! :sick

That's a good thing thought isn't it. Far better they learn more caution.
Thye know their security is better when you are there and that is a correct view.
I would be a lloot more worried if you had found them wandering around.
It certainly is better that they are more cautious. They are smart and I love them for that.

This has been very hard as the idyllic environment of chickens safely wandering the yard is gone. In matter of fact it was never here. The innocence is gone.

I cry for the lost innocence and those that paid the price for that hard earned knowledge.
