What kind are your cameras? Can you use them for watching the chickens?
I could do, yes, but security was more important after the recent break in attempts.

If I wanted cameras just for watching the hens, I'd probably get battery-powered ones if they're cheaper.

I got these ones. I mentioned above it was important to me that the cameras are on the electricity and not battery-powered. That's because when we're not in a pandemic I often travel for work and leave the house empty. When I'm on the go again, it'll be good to know the cameras won't drop out in my absence.

Phyllis is the only one of mine which I can remember making that sound. Very interesting. 🤔
My silkies are the ones who make this noise the most, whining I call it. I will try to video it tomorrow...

You have to see this commercial

It gave me a much needed smile today.
Ab-satively splendid!!! Love it, thanks for the laugh much needed I am having a miserable night. That just made my day, night whatever - it was much needed 😆

That is cooler than me. Only going down to 35°F here tonight.
All over the map here, we had rain, sleet, wet snow, rain, ice pellets, rain, wet snow.... Finally went below freezing now just snow. Right royal mess for tomorrow.

Phyllis Talks to Me

@micstrachan commented the other day on the sound, trill, that Phyllis makes stopping her hens in their tracks. I got a very good recording of her doing it today. As I said she talks to me like this all the time. I wish I knew what it really meant.

Oh!!! That starts like a trill, but ends more like the way Bridge calls me quite often. Usually it seems to mean she wants something, like an escort back to her flock, or lately, I take her down from the roost. Maybe Phyllis is asking you for something?
