Isn't it a comfort! We can hand all the worry over to them and they come back with the correctest answer possible given the evidence. Of course, sometimes more evidence is needed, and then the answers become even more accurate.

It certainly is better than trying to do this alone.

So what was Sidney like as a traveling companion for Lilly?

Sydney did much better than Hattie. She mastered the roost when driving right away. She also fits better. It was much more crowded with Hattie in the crate.

Coop cleaning day is coming very, very soon… excuse to poop.

Eventually my craziest chickens ventured forth, with a little scratch “encouragement” my bully girl who attacked the hawk and my oddball grey sapphire Maran

we were mostly all melted by 3pm… and it wasn’t too bad really, just all that strange white stuff was definitely off putting for the poor delicate chickens. Normally if I stand in front of the door in the morning I would be getting smackedin the face by 40 or so eager to be foraging chickens, today… not so much!

Hi, everyone. I have some catching up to do on the thread, as I did a girls overnight with two other moms and two of the daughters last night. It was so much fun, and the best part is that I had quality time with my daughter and after a couple years of really struggling, she’s now getting super excited about possibly going on to University someday. Fingers crossed! Anyway, some of you know that my Little Mill has been struggling. Here’s a little update.

They're forecasting -35F with wind chill tonight here. The school postponed start time to 10 am tomorrow because of it, too.

Lilly is a pro in the car. I'm absolutely certain that she loves to ride in the car.
