I have. I increased the hens calcium intake.@RoyalChick
With my Agatha laying eggs with no shell I am using olive oil inside her vent as that seems a better option incase of any shells inside her. By the way I cannot feel any shell at all.
My question is would you think coconut oil would be better?
@anyone else if you can advise please
@alex Have you dealt with at similar problem?
That is wonderful. I'm so glad she is doing so much better.Fluffy Butt Friday
At 5:40am (well before light) Maggie decided it was time to get up.
For a hen who only a couple of months ago couldn’t stand upright or balance on a roost, she seems to be managing quite well.
She is also providing me with some night-vision fluffy butt shots!
The urgency of getting out of bed turned out to be to go lay an egg! I can’t remember the last time Maggie laid.
It is a perfect pale brown egg.
I will have it with toast for lunch.
Happy Friday everyone.

That is a wonderful picture. It's like she is pondering which way her future will take her.
I wonder if you tried Replens which is a ladies product, might be good....@RoyalChick

Sometimes they attach razors to their feet. In fact their owners have been killed by the razors on their rooster's feet.https://mountain-topmedia.com/cockfighting-crackdown-sees-13-charged-in-two-federal-indictments/
So this just happened this week. I know this happens a lot in my area. This is appalling to me and frankly I feel that the maximum charges are not stiff enough. I've heard so many people defend this saying that it is natural for them to fight. I'm just left feeling like I want to beat them over the head with a shovel when I hear it. That is another reason it is so hard to place boys when I hatch them off. Half the people wanting roos want them for training for this crap. At times I feel it would be better to cull and eat the extra boys, but I can not do that either.
Marie, I don't think you need to be feeling inside.@RoyalChick
