Just take it one step at a time, you did the right thing with reporting it. Maybe put up a motion sensor alarm to prevent anyone coming onto your property....

My one camera has an alarm on it and a flood light ( I forgot to disable the alarm when I installed it and set it off going to the barn that night!!!!). Lots of those on Amazon.....

I agree - definitely set all that sort of stuff up - but it does't get rid of the mental anguish of living next door to such vile people.

That was lovely! I am so happy you have the chickens for your comfort...and that 2 obliged with 'mommy-time'. Good that your mom finds comfort with the horses, too. I swear that animals can sense your emotions (I KNOW - anecdotally, anyways, that cats and dogs can/do. I would imagine that horses do as well. Chickens, I'm not sure...but they can definitely sense fear/calm in humans)

There is something about animals that is truly rewarding, comforting, and..entertaining. I'm so glad you have them now to help you through this! I'll be anxiously awaiting (hopefully positive) news from your Dr. appt. tomorrow with Grandma.

I am seriously full of emotions tonight!
-Happy that they seemed okay
-Anger because it happened at all
-vengeful because I could get even
-nervous about what might happen through the night
-lonely, because I still miss my original hens and roosters
(I’m a mess about this) And still on my laptop!

I'm so sorry to hear all this . It is horrible that someone would do this to animals....and so sorry you have to go through this

I hope that the Sheriff is able to act on this!

My war with the crazy neighbors continues.
Someone threw pasta noodles over the fence. To my surprise, there were mothballs mixed in with the noodles.
Hopefully, I cleaned up the mess, before any of the chickens had a deadly feast!
I would love to catch the culprit red handed. But so far, no such luck.

That’s IT Alex… you need the tallest privacy fence you can build… and about 3’ of fine netting on top of it, sloping outward like a prison fence… electric and barbed wire optional. people

The dogs and the cats, including my evil one have taken up turns guarding Grandma. Where ever she is at there is always 1 cat sleeping on or near her and one of the dogs laying down close to her sleeping.

A couple of years ago I was getting absolutely smashed with the sextortion emails. Hubby set the spam filter to high, so it caught every new email address and you had to white-list the legit ones. You could also set a message that would bounce back to the sender. This is the text I use, feel free to copy and paste.

Hello. Thank you for your email; you have reached my automated messaging service.

If you are a scammer/blackmailer, please allow up to 10 working days for your email to be deleted from the server. Please be advised that your email will be deleted without being read.

If you are not a scammer/blackmailer, please allow a few days for your email to be retrieved from the spam filter and white-listed.

I had heard of them… I love the broken English! And the absurdity of the whole situation… I actually found it in my junk folder as I was waiting on an email from a new contact… so I was checking my spam and there was my password from like 10 years ago as a title… I just couldn’t resist reading it. Having lost a free hot tub back in the day to said spam filter I now know when expecting an email from someone new to check all the junk mail. far more frequent is the ransoms texts from “govermen” or the ones about my non existent Netflix account or helpful ones about the credit cards I don’t have from the bank I don’t use!
