USA to Canada… no problems, stop in at a grocery store, buy a few dozen eating eggs, and some non fruit/veggie general food items donate them or toss them, put the hatching eggs in the cartons, and return from your cross border shopping trip. Just don’t try to bring an apple or lemon! One of my Aunts and her husband used to shop across the border all the time for cheaper groceries… Internationally, it’s a whole other bag of worms.
I checked on the govt laws site, you can import up to 2 dozen eggs for your personal use from m any country 🤗

France here I come! And yep all one would have to do is replace reg eggs with the hatching eggs... I wonder if one could carry-on them....

I love how it states '
(c) eggs encased in mud or other material that preserves their quality for specialty foods

Just thought I would give you guys an update on my chicks, I had 12, 3 passed, about 2 days ago I got 5 more. Now I have 14 chicks! Add my 2 fully grown laying hens and I have 16 chickens! I am very positive that these chicks will make it. Its been some time now and I have not lost any since! Yay! Here are some photos of my happy Leghorn flock.
Babies babies babies everywhere 💖 🤗

Oh how I miss having babies around 💖

They are just precious 💖

Ok, let’s mark it down… Bob left on page 8908 and was guessing he would be 1000 pages behind on his return! 😂 And do we have a volunteer for note taking? View attachment 3065008
I am happy to give it a go. I have bookmarked his post from the plane so I can always go back to that point and work forward.
It might be a good idea to have someone else keep notes as well just in case.

My cousin just sent me this picture of 2 out of her 3 chicks that hatched almost 3 weeks ago. I'm trying to muster up enough courage to inform her that those 2 are boys. They are Marans mixes, and I know my Marans and Marans mixes enough to say with certain those are boys.

Agreed. Even without me having had Marans before....those are clearly boys given they are only 3 weeks old. On the bright side...she hatched one girl ( better than a zero , right, @RebeccaBoyd )

I will be checking as well. I will say that I never saw this exception.
Maybe you need to return home through Canada....import the eggs to Canada, then 'smuggle' them across the border as 'food', not hatching eggs. 2 dozen, even if only 75% hatch rate would give you 18. As long as you have eggs from a few different lines, that would be enough to establish them here with some genetic diversity......:D

RIP Penguin

I’m really sad to say that Penguin died in the night. She was at the vet hospital and was going to have an X-ray in the morning, but she was having difficulty breathing. So they did one in the night and it looked like she had cancer that had spread to her lungs. She was only around 1 1/2. RIP my sweet sassy miss. :hit

Awww… rest in peace, sweet Penguin. I’m so sorry to hear this, Lozzy. Hugs to you.
