Look at the comb already on it. 12 hours old, that is for sure a boy.

I tried getting a few pictures and for the most part am not happy with them. Here is a video for you all. 7 are out, 5 of them pure Marans.
Wow, they all seem pretty active, too (well, except for miss eggshell head. Since SHE is still wet, I'm assuming this was taken shortly after she hatched) I thought I saw a couple more pipped in the video, so egg-citing!❤️❤️:celebrate:celebrate

Hope Grandma doesn't over-do!

She hatched out roughly around 11:30 this morning. She is a little over 3 hours old. She is taking a good rest right now, the first hour she was doing laps around the incubator wearing her hat. I cannot get a accurate count on pips where they are rolling the eggs around but I got at least 10 more pips I think. These are the early chicks. They technically were not due until about 11 tonight.

:wee:wee I HAVE A CORONA CHICK OUT WITH FEATHERED FEET!!!:wee:wee
Not only that, of the pure marans chicks this one this one has next to nothing as far as a comb goes. I also had another Creamy baby hatch, yellow with feathered legs! I'm giving them 1 more hour and then going to see if Baby will accept them.
Congratulations!
:love

I'm not going to lie, I'm a nervous wreck with what I'm about to attempt soon. I have never tried to give chicks to a unproven broody. Holly is receiving lots of curses as we speak. This is the first time she's ever broke up, and she is already back to laying. If Baby rejects these chicks I will not have time with grandma to raise them myself so she is my only hope at this time. I'm not asking her for much, just to raise these 3 chicks.
