RC, do you have one with a blockage? Have you done coconut oil? How about stool softener or a molasses flush? Did you read the article by azygous? I think the other goof article is by Two Crows.
Yes. And remember I have successfully managed a blockage before. The difference here is it is not hard matted fibrous stuff it is all water.
Then the yeast took over so now it is fermenting away.
I am treating the yeast (miconazole) and I am continuing with coconut oil and massage on the grounds it can’t hurt and just maybe I manage to dislodge something.
I fear her blockage may be downstream from the crop in which case there isn’t really anything that can be done.
I am changing the regimen today to let her out and about. This means I cannot massage as often, but she will be happier. I am anxious about this because before I brought her into the hospital ward she was eating vast amounts and her crop was getting bigger and bigger by the second. So I am worried she will do that again.

Look how adorable. I love the coloring. Are you happy with it? I think you wanted a buff originally, right?
I am very happy with Ezzie's coloring. Yes I wanted buff so I got her momma who was supposed to be buff. She is not, she is a partridge herself, but looks buff. There is actually another color I was wanting besides buff and Ezzie is super close to it. There are red silkies. I'm looking at this as a situation of where I technically did not get what I wanted, I got what I needed and did not know I wanted. Color aside though, Ezzie is so bonded with me and people in general she could be rainbow colored for all I care and I could not love her any less.

@micstrachan do you know what the stool softener is supposed to do? In people it pulls fluid from the gut into the stool. So I suppose it would mop up fluid in the crop. What I don’t understand is why that would be a good thing. At least liquid has some chance of dripping through to the next part of the gut if you see what I mean.

I thought it pulled fluid into the digestive tract, and not necessarily from the crop. I’m not totally sure, though. I just know it has worked for other people on the forums. I honestly can’t recall if there are any scientific papers to support it, though I doubt it.

One time flash had a stubborn crop. I tried massage, coconut oil, stool softener and a molasses flush. It eventually cleared, but I don’t know if it was because of any of my attempts to help or she cleared it on her own.

Sorry, I should’ve asked if you think it’s an impacted crop? This thread moves so fast now and I’ve been busy, so I’ve given up trying to keep up for the time being.

What are her other symptoms? Is her abdomen bloated at all? When Ester’s crop stopped moving completely, she was also bloated in the abdomen and moving slowly. She ended up having cancer that was completely blocking her digestive tract. Point being, sometimes it can be difficult to tell if the block I’m just coming from the inside or the outside.

No, 3. 1 in case not 100% hatch, and 2 to hatch with a hope of 50/50 m/f. So, that's my vote & my reasoning! Maybe try slightly chilling eggs first as per @BY Bob previous post to increase the odds of at least one girl?
There is one teeny, tiny problem I have to figure out if Chiquita goes full on broody. It is her nest location. The brat has chosen one of the porch boxes. The favorite porch box actually. Not only will this cause a issue with 3 of the other girls who all fight over that box, how am I going to sneak eggs under her without mom knowing. Any other spot and I could set her and pretend I did not know she was setting, but not on the porch. I will have grandma on my side though, she wants "Fuzzy" to hatch chicks. She even wanted me to give Bunny a "Fuzzy" egg when I set her. And yes, she is trying to rename another of my chickens. To everyone else now Bubba is "Big Red". She calls Branch "Big Bird" which mom loves more then Branch, and Chiquita is now "Fuzzy".

Abdomen not bloated and vet examined her about a week ago because of diarrhea and lethargy and felt nothing abnormal. Her crop was working fine at that point.
Fecal sample showed roundworms and coccidia so I have been treating both and then suddenly her crop balloons and won’t empty.

Maggie taking in the rays. She really is a sun worshipper!
