Can you hide her regular socks and substitute ones with the grippy things (so technicalI know I need to. But this is going to lead to a fall. My floors are slick laminated floating floor, she is wearing thin socks and when she uses the furniture as support she's leaning.
I will let mine go three days, if the weather isn’t bad/hot… but you could try hand feeding and watering on the nest, that’s what I do with vicious mama Goldie until I’m fairly certain she needs to get up and poop. Broody poops from a 10+lb meat chicken are… just a little bit “extra” lolXzit is just hanging out in her box. Not much movement from her (is that the trance mentioned?) she needs to eat and drink!![]()
He is such a handsome guy!You Say it's Your Hatch Day!
Guess who is two today! Here is their first month in photo highlights.

You need rest to heal well. Be glad it encourages that and take a nap.Opinion: Aleve, works better than Tylenol for what’s ailing me. But it does seem to make me feel sleepy also.
She is doing so well! Amazing! Great job by you and her!Bernadette seems to be enjoying her new found mobility.
I was reassured to see she can really sprint when she needs to, she is showing off by not jumping on the intermediate height tree stump (even Bella does that), and what is with the crazy dance moves?
Chain her ankle to the walker in such a way that she may as well use it because it will be more trouble trying to leave it behind than just accepting it? This may not be legal, or ethical, but it does make for a hopefully entertaining picture. (No offence intended and yes I’m joking to lighten the mood, I hope) I understand your frustration, and having also spent many years quitting smoking… don’t be beating yourself up for little backslides, just be conscious of the increase, acknowledging the underlying reasons for it, and forgive yourself for it.I know. I had the same with my Dad. But the more you push the more she will resist.
Have you had someone come look at things that can be done in the house? Grab bars, tape in the floor, that kind of thing?
He's definitely a keeper!I still love my one and only rooster buddy “Jaffar”View attachment 3152876
I kind of like the ones we get in the hospitals here… the smiley faces and “free” are good. DH got like three or four pairs last stay, and I like the super bright red ones (makes the patients easier to identify if they try to make a break for it?)Can you hide her regular socks and substitute ones with the grippy things (so technical) on the bottom? Not those cr***y hospital ones, but nice looking ones you can get in a store?
