These two Broodies will hopefully co parent as well as these two new mamas are. They have three chicks, but you can’t see them here so it still counts as two chickens in the photo… even if there are actually five, right?

This seems to be my best group picture of the Elements. They don't stay still and they are a bit reclusive these days due to hawks.

Yes, Toothy was a very handsome guy. Henrietta grew up to be a lovely hen. She was never a lap chicken. She preferred to "supervise" things being done and getting in the way to help. The father of the chicks were either Toothy or Tuff, seeing as how they grew up to appear to be full game I think Tuff was the culprit. It also makes sense seeing as how Momma preferred Tuff at the time and Henrietta preferred to hang out with Toothy. Remember now, Henrietta, Toothy and Tuff came from eggs from a friends flock so were not related to Momma.

I meant the original ones she hatched (Toothless & Tuffnut's lot). I thought too much time had passed between broody and 'her' rooster mate dying, but maybe I am wrong and he was their dad?

Going to borrow gauges from a buddy and check the hi side pressure of my refrigerant. Going to change out my fan motor and if that doesn't work I'll sell an arm or some organs to get an hvac tech to take a look.

Ugh. So sorry. Just miserable.

The things I ordered say they are nipple waters with adaptors. I thought I got the link from you?

They seem to come with the nipple drinkers, now. I've had my cooler waterers for ?3 years? now, back then they came as just the adaptors. I did a quick search on Amazon...and didn't read , just thought the image was for visualization purposes. But you are correct...seems like you just need to add cooler (and thicker washers if using smallish round coolers) Sorry!
