The map shows it only growing at elevation in the western portion of the continent…?You got that right!
I am staying well clear of it.

Sorry to hear that. Is she capable of having hens? Maybe a couple ???The neighbors dog I mentioned earlier today, well it passed away 30 minutes ago. The neighbor asked me to come help bury her puppy. I can’t refuse a request like that one. But it’s very sad for my neighbor tonight.![]()
I had to laugh when you said your mum said she was quite capable of feeding chickens!Have that, did a spray Thursday night and hit the wrong spot in my throat, and kicked of the gag reflex, and more vomiting… ugh! Next time I will spray some in a cup and take it that way.
Also have a prescription gargle, Benzydamine Hydrochloride which I have been using. And I think it was RC who suggested aspirin dissolved in water gargle which I also did.
The nicest thing ? Cold jello, slowly swallow and it adheres to the back of your throat and slowly slides offering a lovely cool soothing effecttil you have to finish swallowing ha!
My biggest upset right now are my barn cams being down. I really really miss seeing my fur and feathered babiesmy mum bless her has done chores for me yesterday and the day before. I went out yesterday afternoon but I got so nauseous and dizzy, I stepped on poor Penelope’s foot, I was really afraid I would hurt one of them. I they crowd around your feet begging for treats, wanting attention….. Mum yelled at me
told me she was quite capable of feeding chickens
And don’t get started with the horses! When we let them in Truly ran in and just about knocked me over. More being yelled at….
I hope today I can haule the transmitter and receiver down and get them paired up. All assuming I can stand upright! Maybe do that when mum isn’t looking!
Meanwhile I have been enjoying everyone’s photos and stories, thanks all for sharing. Esp the baby pics![]()
I was thinking of sending her up the ladder hahaha.I had to laugh when you said your mum said she was quite capable of feeding chickens!Seriously don't try to get the transmitter and receiver down whilst you're feeling so rubbish though. Otherwise I'd have to support your mum in the monumental telling-off you would receive!
I hope you start to feel better soon though.![]()
Yes I linked to a west coast specific page. It does say on that link it grows throughout the US. It is native. The map shows it only growing at elevation in the western portion of the continent…?
Aren’t you in the east? Do you have photos?
I agree. @Ponypoor get someone else, anyone else, to go up the ladder to get the gizmo.I had to laugh when you said your mum said she was quite capable of feeding chickens!Seriously don't try to get the transmitter and receiver down whilst you're feeling so rubbish though. The forecast was very much a let down, there was no storm! Or rather there was, but it didn't hit us. I love it when they get it wrong that way, not like last week when we had a small rain forecast and ended up with a 20 h power shortage. We still have a chance though, storms are announced for today and tomorrow. Please stay safe. I love these photos.![]()
I'm very happy to hear this! I wonder if beginning to lay made her unwell with her anemia, as laying takes a lot of energy and ressources ? Is anemia in chicken the same as in human (deficiency of hemoglobin due to lack of iron / B12) or is it specific ?Another good day for Lulu even with her anemia and wonky liver function.
I do hope she is truly over whatever it was. She hasn’t laid an egg since she became poorly - which is fine by me except that it suggests that she isn’t fully back to health.

YES! Just do it Kelly! Otherwise we will all think it's some kind of silly stubborn newfoundland superstition - " thou shall not let anyone climb on your ladder"I agree. @Ponypoor get someone else, anyone else, to go up the ladder to get the gizmo.
Can you drink through a strawYa maybe today. Too sick to go.
Just need evil sore throat to go away so I can drink fluids.
That will make it worse. Salt water was what I used by gargling and flushed my nostrils with it toMaybe a shot of whiskey to numb the pain ?![]()
