How awful.
Does a wet cloth work? Aren’t you supposed to cover your head in a wet towluif you are in a house fire.
A damp flour sack towel makes a great air conditioner. As far as filter effects, no idea. Tomorrow the temps are supposed to drop which does affect fires. At this point, frost/snow are our best friends.

Testing until you are positive is not best practice. False positives happen as well. If symptoms change then consider retesting.
But sometimes people test too early in the course of the disease, isn't that right?
Thirsty Thursday

Glynda decided she likes tea. No worries everyone, it was decaf. I can't imagine her on caffeine!

I think the tannins remind her of ground surface water, which seems to be the best tasting water in the world.
The issue is specimen collection. Most people are not great at collecting their own specimen. So they tell people to retest. Best practice is to take a good specimen the first time and accept the result.

There are only a couple of reliable tests on the marketplace and to my knowledge only one has actually proven the sensitivity and specificity to be "approved". The rest are still being sold and used under the EUA. It is a dirty little secret that many of them do have equally high false positive as negatives. The package insert for your test should list the sensitivity and specificity. If it does not, then you should question its reliability.

Informative and good to know. Your first two sentences betray one of the problems the retesting tries to address, imperfectly - people can't follow directions!

This might be Butters, but could be Popcorn. I didn't know how to label my pictures on the phone at that time. Ah well!

Here's Butters last September. Love her gaze.
