The Kids have their new home and they love it! They had to spend an hour in the bathroom but they are so happy. I just need to get some play things this tent is 6 feet x 6 feet x 4 feet so they have room to fly if they want.

Oh me too! And this year was particularly bad for fruit flies.
I made traps all over the kitchen. I think they are mostly gone now.

I made cider vinegar traps with a little washing up liquid and another acv vinegar with organic liquid soap, wine and soap and all this has done is attact more.
When I got home from shopping there were more waiting too get through my front door and i kid you not

They are coming through my air vents sink everywhere .

Yup. That is what they do.
The trick is a funnel so they can go into a jar but can’t fly out.
You can also use plastic wrap (I re-use pieces that come on packages of cheese etc from the grocery stores) and once it is stretched over a jar with bait (a bit of fruit works well) then stab it with a skewer a few times. They come into the jar through the holes but can’t get out.
I then pop the whole jar in the freezer and it kills them all and bring it back out and start over.

They have a clean water, the creek and this is what these 2 girls chose. About 2 inches of rain water in a dirty coffee can.

That’s why I diffused the whole situation. I packed up all eight of my birds, and they are at a ranch, other side of town. And after a very long conversation with my brother, I’m flying up to see him in Seattle for a few days. Linda from church, is watching over my house for now.
