I have been puzzled for a while how my three Princesses end up roosting in different positions. Usually it is so predictable. They March up the ladder in order and that is then set for the night.
It seems Bernadette has changed that game.

Like Ponypoor I need to win the lottery as well. Everyone will know it when it happens. Suddenly there will be a couple of every variety of Marans out there right now in my front yard. Even those that will have to be smuggled out of Australia.

We would have ponies and chickies everywhere hahaha

Anything fruity - or vinegary.
I just grab what I have on hand - bruised bit of peach, mushy grape, lemon after I have squeezed it. All these things are like magnets to them and they crowd into the jar but somehow cannot see the holes in the plastic wrap to get out.
Sometimes there are so many in there it sounds like a drum roll - that is when I know to pop it in the freezer for a few hours!

Do you give them to the chickens freeze drried?

Do you give them to the chickens freeze drried?

Sometimes I tip them into the Chicken Palace but if I used a lemon or something has gone moldy I just tip them on the compost heap.
